1. Who we are

NearCoast OÜ ("we", "us", "our") operates RioHire and is the data controller responsible for your personal data. We are registered in Estonia (company number 14837948), registered address Sepapaja tn 6, Lasnamäe linnaosa, 15551 Tallinn, Estonia. You can reach us at support@riohire.com.

2. What data we collect

  • Contact data — the email address you provide.
  • Questionnaire answers — the responses you give in the quiz (such as experience level, goals and job-search stage), used to build your plan.
  • Payment data — when you subscribe, payment is handled by our payment provider. We receive confirmation of your purchase and limited billing details, but we do not store full card numbers.
  • Usage and device data — pages viewed, actions taken, approximate location, browser and device information, collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies.

3. How we use your data

  • to create and deliver your personalized plan and daily emails;
  • to process your subscription, payments and refunds;
  • to provide customer support and respond to your requests;
  • to measure, maintain and improve the Service;
  • to market the Service, where permitted, and to measure advertising;
  • to comply with legal obligations and prevent fraud or abuse.

4. Legal bases

Where the GDPR (or UK GDPR) applies, we rely on: performance of a contract to deliver the Service you purchase; consent for marketing and non-essential cookies; legitimate interests to secure and improve the Service; and legal obligation where the law requires us to process data. You can withdraw consent at any time.

5. Cookies and tracking technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies for essential functionality, analytics and advertising measurement. This includes:

  • Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms, Inc.) — to measure and optimize advertising;
  • Google Tag Manager / Google Analytics (Google LLC) — to understand how the Service is used.

You can control non-essential cookies through your browser settings and through the consent options presented on the site where applicable.

6. Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the Service, under contracts that require them to protect it:

  • Payment processing — Paddle.com Market Ltd ("Paddle"), acting as Merchant of Record;
  • Email delivery — providers used to send your daily plan and account emails;
  • Analytics and advertising — Google and Meta, as described above;
  • Hosting and infrastructure — providers that host the Service.

We may also disclose data where required by law or to protect our legal rights.

7. International transfers

Some providers may process data outside your country, including outside the European Economic Area. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

8. Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your subscription is active and afterwards only as long as needed for the purposes described here — for example, to meet legal, accounting or tax obligations. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.

9. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any right, email support@riohire.com. You also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.

10. Children

The Service is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Security

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to respond promptly to any incident.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make a material change, we will notify you by email or through the Service.
